Twin brothers Nikolai and Simon Haas (born 1984), known as The Haas Brothers, got their start in design by studying stone carving and construction under their father in their hometown of Austin, Texas. In September 2010, the brothers were commissioned to collaborate on a project by renowned architectural firm Johnston Marklee, at Sony Studios in Los Angeles, and "The Haas Brothers" as a studio practice was born. Public Relations tactikPAK helped me with my major choice

As a public relations major and aspiring publicist, I can honestly say this volume in the tactikPAK series is the one I turn to the most. In the beginning, when I was still uncertain whether or not PR was the right career choice for me, I googled and tried finding answers to see whether or not PR was the right choice for me.

It was the Public Relations tacktikPAK that really helped me solidify my choice in determining my major choice. For those of you who aren’t sure what PR is exactly or want to expand your PR skills, read this! I promise it will help you out tremendously. The volume breaks down everything you need to know about this field, what your responsibilities look like and basically it paints a clear picture of what public relations is. Without this module I really think I would have made the mistake of switching careers. I highly recommend this module to those contemplating a track in this field.

I also suggest checking out the other modules on the tactikPAK series (ESPECIALLY if you’re in communications!). Whether you’re a student looking for information, need guidance on the subjects the series provides or simply looking to enhance the knowledge you already have, the series goes a long way in helping out. Each chapter breaks down information thoroughly, it’s easy to understand and at the end of every chapter there is a cool interactive quiz to help reinforce what you’ve just read. Margo Berman is an excellent teacher and truly knows her stuff on Advertising and PR. I took Professor Berman at FIU and she is truly an amazing teacher, but also her content in her work is amazing as well. I Love these tactikPaks because they help so much in my classes and in my future career. Great quizzes that help and the content is super easy to follow and read. Get it for sure if you are in the advertising, copywriting, design, PR field. You won't regret it. Worth It, Even After Graduation

I had a similar, all inclusive book like this while I was in school. It was not my assigned textbook, but, I obtained it on my own and it was great, because it included all domains in nursing school. Since then, I have always wanted a Kindle version because I am the sort of person that does continue to use my textbooks as a resource. This works well with my iPhone 6 Plus as well as my iPad mini. The page turning feature makes it sort of feel like a textbook and the Table of Contents is hyperlinked to take you directly to whatever chapter needed.

I have graduated from LPN school 9 years ago, and always felt that we should have a basic reference textbook to review things as needed, so, to have this textbook in my iPhone, not straining my back is phenomenal. This covers the basics from soup to nuts. I'd even suggest this as a back up to whatever textbooks are already being used by your school, because, again, it's all inclusive, the reading is interesting and we always refer to Fundamental Nursing somewhere in the course of our day.

sometimes tear-jerking sad, and other times hilariously funny

Surreal, imaginative, scary, close-to-home, eerie, sometimes tear-jerking sad, and other times hilariously funny, I had to change my game plan when I read C. Frazier Jones' stories in Things We Thought We Saw in the Water. Although all emotions are triggered while reading these stories, one common thread runs through all of them; they are well-written. And to rush through well-written fiction would be like eating a piece of cheesecake covered with fresh strawberries all in one bite.
These stories are not for rushing through. When I offered to give a review for this book, I thought I could read all eight stories in one evening. After the first few paragraphs of the first story, I changed my plans and settled back in a comfy couch to enjoy every word, every sentence, every paragraph. I decided to read her eight stories as if I were at a leisurely Italian meal--one course at a time.
And none of the courses was disappointing. While I have my favorites- The Cutting Business and How the Dung Beetle Uses the Milky Way to Navigate the Universe (even the titles are tantalizing), I found all the stories were challenging my preconceived thoughts of our physical world and the world beyond.
These are not sci-fi stories, but real tales of the human experience told in such ways that the characters, sometimes spirits, become real and believable, fascinating and convincing. A psychological dance of words and ideas, is how I would describe Jones' style. It is a unique voice in literature and worthy of praise.
Thank you for the enjoyable meal, C. Frazier Jones. I shall taste it's sweetness and it's bitterness for quite some time. I look forward to many more stories. You are a really wonderful story teller.

What to say?

Over the past five years I have become a "reader" and find myself drawn to books that speak to my guts and move my soul. Sometimes these books have a call to action and sometimes they send me on a beautiful journey of thoughts, but typically not both at the same time, until Things We Thought We Saw in the Water. As each story unfolds, it is as if you are starting a new book. Each is stunningly different and wildly provoking. I found myself wondering who these people where and would life ever offer me an opportunity to meet them here on earth or somewhere in the beyond? I could see parts of myself in many of the characters and on more than one occasion, I felt my heart break into pieces. I had to ponder each story for a day or two before I could move bravely forward. There were moments of shear joy and loud laughter that turned a few heads at random establishments where I read including those of my family members. As I read the last sentence, a sadness came over me...it was the end. So what to say about this book? I want to be a better human because of the stories contained therein and my soul has a new longing to appreciate the interconnectedness of humanity and God's beautiful creation known as our universe.

I ordered several copies of this book to give as gifts and I'm so glad i did. This book is fantastic! All of the stories are great, but my favorite is How the Dung Beetles Uses the Milky Way. Tom Cat is also really funny. The stories are sweet and sad and dark and funny all at the same time. It's rare to find a book of short stories where they are all really good. Even though the stories are fairly short, you'll be thinking about them long after you finish reading them.

4/8/15 Author Mr. Nana Boateng (gives an excellent bio of himself on the back jacket of the book 'The Barber's Chair' as well as in his acknowledge pages to his family on Pages 97-98).... the various 36 chapters are captioned not numbered(most are 2 or 3 pages.. a. his last chapter("All That Glitters")Pg 90-96 is the longest in which the Salon's "J" gives customer Menina her private number on the back of the Salon's calling card if she ever needs someone to talk to since she hasn't shared with her parents that she might have HIV ) .... b. a chapter captioned "Puppy Love" (P 76-79) .....a 18 year older from California ,meeting a 34 year older who was performing a poem at an event the North Carolinean University where she attended; she was supposed to be living with an aunt,then moved to a dorm and after meeting and moving in with the 34 year older changed her 'priorities'....... c. generalized attitudes of Africans encouraged their next generations to choose 'Medical professions' for guaranteed income "The Road Less Taken" Pg 23-24)... d. in chapter pgs. 25-28 "Patient-Ly Waiting' there are 2 segments ...(pg 25-26) about a customer whose son has cancer; he shares with barber Bigg how the prognosis has economically and financially affected his family over a 3 year period... Bigg advises him not to leave the shop in tears... The chapter then separates with a double space on the page(26) and has a dialogues(Pg 26-28) between Milton, Flee and Irv ( barbers) about basketball stars *especially Kobe and Lebron* with a chastisement by Flee to Milton for wanting to discuss yesterday's basketball stars in their barbers' debate ..... In scanning, I did see the barber Bigg name come up within the Salon Chair chapters Pgs 49-96).... so far in my readings vs scannings , I haven't come upon duplicate situations ... BITTER SWEET!

I recently decided to discover new authors, stepping away from novels that were only on the Best sellers list. This was perhaps the best decision I have ever made. As I was scrolling through Amazon the barber's chair caught my eye. I contemplated whether or not it would be worth my 15 bucks but I gave it a try. Actually I gave it 3 tries since I purchased three gifting two to my dad and sister. I can honestly say this was a gamble well worth it. I received my book in 3 days and read the entire book in one day. Page after page, story after story; I found myself completely engulfed in this book. There were some stories that literally made me laugh out loud, some that made me sad and others that made me think. In particular "All That Glitters" A story of a woman who seemingly had it all. This book is actually divided into two sections one is the barber shop, the other is the Salon. How a male author was able to capture every essence of the stylist-client relationship blew my mind. I read more on the author and realized it was his first book. He also happens to be a Colgate University graduate. This discovery made me a little bitter being that I myself had applied to Colgate and was not accepted. haha with that being said I decided to give this book 4 stars. If only I would have never been denied acceptance to Colgate this book would undoubtedly received 5 stars! lol =)

an amazing ending to the series

This novel was much more action packed than its predecessors. Battles are waged, entire ways of life are defended, yet Pohler tactfully avoids the violence in this tale. I found myself caught up in the plight of the characters, trying to help them along, and keep them on the winning side, even when it seemed impossible. Pohler also kept me on my toes, guessing and racing forward to see what happens next. More than once I found myself exclaiming, I soooo did not see this coming. At the same time, Pohler stays true to the Greek myths while making them all her own. She also adds an extra emotional component to this tale. The emotional traumas of the past come forward and the healing begins. I appreciate how Pohler depicts this as an honest and ongoing effort. It makes this novel real & human yet sublimely god(dess) driven.

Although no new characters are introduced in this novel, the personalities of the characters continue to evolve based on their current circumstances. Even the oldest immortals adapt to their current circumstances. The contrast between the mortal and immortal personalities was both comical and enlightening. Pohler highlights not only the godly viewpoint, but also the disparity that Therese had to cross. The similarities between the two groups also become much more apparent in this instalment. Their hopes and fears collide into a single world.

As a whole, this story was informative, enlightening, and a pleasure to read. I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed. It’s a story that parents and teens alike will love.

The perfect ending!

Eva has done a wonderful job with the ending of the Gatekeeper's Saga. As always, there is adventure, romance and of course, greek gods.

Therese and Than are patiently or impatiently awaiting the birth of their twins. And are faced with a dilemma of having two mortal children from two immortal parents.

Hip, Than's brother is trying to find away to be with his mortal love, Jen.

In comes all the Greek Gods and trouble is brewing once again. Its a power struggle at its finest.

Can the Gods keep it together long enough for the twins to be born or will everything fall to pieces?

The Gatekeeper's Saga is great and should be read not only by Teens but anyone else looking for a clean romantic story.

I really liked this book. The only part I was disappointed with was the ending. It felt a little rushed and I really hated the fact that the main characters had to give up so much just to be with one another. I really hoped for a happier ending. Otherwise the book was awesome just like the ones that came before it.

About the Author
Biography James Richardson was born in 1983 in Sheffield, England and moved South to live in Bournemouth in 1996. James now lives with his partner and son aged 6 and they have inspired him to write children's illustrated novels to share with both his family and the rest of the world. A great blend of biomechanics and practical application that anyone can follow. The sample program and accessory exercises are great. As a strength and conditioning coach myself, I use these same strategies with my athletes and have seen great result.

Great resource for anyone wanting to improve their deadlift. NOT just for beginners wanting to figure out how to get the more impressive weights up, but also those of us that are experienced.
As a coach myself who has changed focus and needs to look to others for the finer points on improving my own lifts and those of my clients, Eric's guide has been brilliant in helping me and a number of my clients explode our lifts up of the last few weeks.
Definitely recommend.
