Aiden believes underneath her beauty Jasmine harbors an evil that has already infected him and will soon spread to everyone he loves if it isn't destroyed. Aiden must find a way to keep Tony quiet, remain one step ahead of the FBI, and maintain his sanity long enough to find out who and what Jasmine really is…

Navi’ Robins goal is to bring a new idea and create a new reality in the Young Adult novel genre. Presently, Navi’ Robins is working on the second volume in the Walking Among the Shadows series entitled “Walking Among the Shadows: Belly of the Beast”. His goal as an author is to create stories that will remain a lasting fixture in literature for many years to come.

great read...... spell bound

I saw the book on Facebook and heard murmuring through friends and decided to pick up the book. I ordered it on my kindle and from the first moment i picked the book up i couldn't put it down. the story is gripping and spell bounding, humerus and captivating. the story was funny, enlightening and entertaining.....great read....loved,loved,loved the book. cant wait for the second book.

This book is like no other book I have read. It's not your typical story and that is what I love about it. All the characters were very unique which made the story more appealing. Throughout the book, when I thought I knew what was going to happen next, I was pleasantly surprised when I was totally wrong. I truly look forward reading the next book(s).

I wasn't sure how I would feel about this book but I must say I really enjoyed it. I thought it was going in one direction and it went somewhere else completely! I couldn't get through it in peace because my daughter keeps asking me "What happened?" She wants to read it after me and she already loves the main character (She's 14, what can I say?) More than anything this is what appeals to me. I like supporting new authors, especially if they have written something unique, but it's getting harder and harder to encourage youth to read. They just stay on line. So the fact that Mr Robins book has my daughter wanting to read it makes it extra special. I really hope that there will be more to come. We had Harry Potter, then Twilight and now we have The Shadows! Good work Mr Robins and I would like to ask Amazon to please continue to carry good quality reading material for our kids!

Good one! The author really gets down to business ...

Good one! The author really gets down to business about creating the big First Draft of a novel as championed by the NaNoWriMo project. It's humorous, encouraging, and very straightforward. This is the guide to getting a daunting project done.
But it's not the guide to creating deathless prose.
The best use was for me was to purchase it the month before I jumped into the "write a novel in a month" adventure. It gave me a blueprint of sorts so that I could stay on course. If you read it by itself, it is a useful enough guide to getting past perfectionism or the tendency to edit incessantly as you go along, or any of the other bad writing habits which will keep you from getting your job done.
But check out NaNoWriMo before you buy this so you know what to expect. If you don't, you might be disappointed that the book is exactly what it claims to be, and not what you were hoping up find!

Great book

Emmie has not been my favorite character in the series, but I really liked this book. What I love about the whole series is that all the girls are so supportive of each other and that there is nothing inappropriate for YA readers (no mean girls, drugs or sex) yet the books are so engaging and fun to read. Katrina does such a good job describing the characters' thoughts and feelings that you can't help but root for each of them, and she incorporates serious issues into her books so masterfully to show their human side but not being overtly educational or preachy about it. This is one of my favorite YA series, and one I will let my daughters read when they become older teens.

A wonderful change up in this book

Really enjoyed this book. So far I have loved the change of point of views that Katrina has done in the various books and this one did not disappoint! This particular book was told from Emmie's point of view. The one thing that this book had that the others didn't was the inclusion of the bad boy - loved him and this story! Such a great pairing! I am totally ready for Book 6 to come out.

A cutesy romance featuring one of our favorite Rosewood girls, Emmie. Emmy is a rich girl but in all the things that matter, she's poor, lacking. She's lonely, the holidays are approaching, and her best friend/roomate is leaving for who knows how long. Her ex-boyfriend wants to date her roomate, she's offended a troubled kid, and she's crushing on her best friend's brother. Her life is all too climatic.

Emmie's story was fun because despite all of her inner turmoil her book was light and fun, not unlike the others. The one thing that this book had that the others didn't was the inclusion of the bad boy. I really liked his character. It was like the spice of the book and I enjoyed it. I can't wait to see more if we get more. (Katrina, *hint hint*) Another great addition to a fun series!

I read the first book , it wasn't great but I decided to give the author one more chance. The story in this book (same as the first book) has potential but became boring and I was looking forward to finally finishing it. I also found some spelling mistakes and wonder if anybody proofread this book.
