Disappointing!

This book doesn't seem to know ANYTHING about science fiction!!! Hardly any SF writers get discussed here, except older "classic" ones like H.G.Wells or George Orwell (who isn't even an SF writer). The book spends most of the time talking about Jane Austen and D.H Lawrennce!!! And it is so long winded. It ends by asking "What was Science Fiction?" as if this wonderful genre is somehow dead and buried. Since the book doesn't seem to know anything ABOUT the genre, it seems like an incredibly arrogant and ignorant thing to do. Disappointing.
