Fairy Romance
By Carrie Williams
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This last (?) installment of the Court of Annwyn certainly tied all the previous stories together. Finally, we get to see Felan’s beloved and watch him flounder his way through a courtship. The stakes are all high and the world is falling apart around them. This book was filled with tension and tough choices for all the characters.

Jacquie and Felan had a wonderful romance 7 years ago, but to Felan it feels like only a few months have passed. Their relationship ended suddenly and with a lot of drama. Jacquie was pregnant with his child, but the pregnancy ended suddenly while Felan was in Annwyn. Stunned, confused, and devastated, the couple split with many misunderstandings. In an effort to either find closure or rekindle his romance, Felan sets out to have a long overdue conversation with the love of his life. All while he is trying to reconnect with her, tons of plans are hatching around him concerning Sulia’s bid for the throne.

It was nice to have our own closure as far as Annwyn is concerned. There is HEA for almost everyone and a lot of the bad guys we’ve had to deal with finally get their punishment. While completely tension filled and action packed, this book was still a nice little romance with a fairy twist.

There is no King without his Queen
By melindeeloo
It's time for Felan to claim his queen.

I enjoyed this story which ends the first major arc of the Annwyn series. I've liked Felan who was a player in the two previous books in the series and I like that he ends up willing to gamble on love even as he is unwilling to shirk his duty to his people. He has a history with Jacqui, which sort of helps with the fast pace of the courtship, since he had only two weeks to produce a queen and an heir. But there is so much going on, with Felan preparing for the end game and the challenge he will have to face to claim his crown, that this could have been a much longer book and still not had the space to delve too deeply, into either the romance or the intrigue.

Still I did like this and I did like Jacqui as well and I am looking forward to seeing where things go next in the second trilogy.

Shona Husk writes a brilliant ending to her Annwyn Series and once again proves that life without love is perfectly worthless.

Originally reviewed for Tea and Book.

Winter is coming to Annwyn and with it comes disease and destruction to the human world. It's time for the end game. Shona Husk writes a brilliant ending to her Annwyn Series and once again proves that life without love is perfectly worthless.

Prince Felan ap Gwyn has been working behind the scenes for centuries. His foppish attitude has those of the royal court convinced that he will be easily overthrown. Yeah not so much. Felan's only problem is his king has decreed that he has two weeks, to find a bride and bring her home pregnant. Felan knows he has a lifetime of duty but in his home, he wants love. He wants the love he lost seven years ago. He is determined to reclaim the girl and bring home a pregnant bride, in two weeks... He is obviously preparing for the battle of his life.

Jacqueline Ara fell in love with a Prince of Annwyn when she was young enough to believe that anything was possible. But it wasn't. Her life collapsed along with the promise of his love. It took years but she managed to rise from the ashes of their relationship. Of course the fact that she now sees fairies really doesn't help with the whole, really people I am not insane, thing. But she's doing it day by day. Until Felan walks through her door. This time, Jacqui is so not gonna fall for it.

Two weeks.. sheesh

I appreciated that Ms. Husk put them in a relationship that already had some backgrounds. They knew each other and at one time there was real love. Neither ever really stopped loving the other they just had some serious, really serious issues to conquer. But it's still better than we met yesterday and are soul mates and will now live the rest of our lives together, forever.

Jacqui is human with a soul, Felan is not. As a matter of fact if she marries Felan she must give up her soul. Of course if she doesn't the world as she knows it will probably be destroyed.. what a choice.

Then of course there is the whole, yeah someone else is willing to kill for his throne. Obstacles abound. But then a love for the ages should never come easy.

There were some twists and some turns and I felt the battle for Annwyn might have been a bit anticlimactic. Then I thought about it and realized that this series was about the journey to save Annwyn not ending.. I really enjoyed it.
